Is powered paragliding safe?

Yes, in NZ a paramotor license is necessarily to legally fly
How long does it take to get PPG trained?
A conversion course will take 3 days. A full paramotor license will take around 10 days
Possibly. If you fly paragliders then only a power conversion course is necessary. If you don’t then you are required by to attain a paramotor license through a certified school.
Can I take-off on a flat surface?
Yes. Any large grass field will do for powered paragliding flights.
What distance do I need to take-off and land?
Usually between 5 to 50 feet for take-off and about 3 feet for spot landing.
In NZ you are allowed to fly up to 9500ft. With permission heights up to 12,000 can be obtained
Up to 60 km/h if there is no wind.
Winds should not exceed 25 km/h when flying powered paragliders.
It depends on your paramotor model. Approximately 150 - 300 km
This depends on you paraglider. Anywhere from 25 km/h - 60 km/h if there is no wind and up to 85 km/h ground speed with a 25km tail wind.
You are basically a paraglider with a motor. You simply glide down for landing. Most landings are done without power for safety reasons anyway.
Approximately 3 to 6 hours depending upon the size of motor, the weight of the pilot and the type of wing.
How much is the weight of paramotor.
Without fuel the paramotor weighs 22+kg. You only feel the weight of the motor when you are stationary Once you are running or are in flight the wing will take the motors weight.
Yes you can. Suitable clothing is required. Winter provides some of the best flying conditions for Paramotoring
Our propeller cages are designed to be dismantled into 6 parts in approximately 3 minutes. You can easily transport your paramotor in the trunk, back seat of your car or a suitcase

What is the cost of equipment and training?
Training is approximately $2100 NZD. Ready to fly package including paramotor, paraglider and rescue parachute will cost anywhere between 12,500 and 14,000 NZD.
The motors are made in Italy and have won numerous best paramotor awards. The equipment is certified by DULV – German Ultralight Association
I free fly paragliders. Do I need another wing for paramotoring?
